Weld Thrus

DeNOVUS™ Weld-Thru Sealers are a line of sealants that are activated during the heating stage in the assembly process. Weld-thrus can be manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit any customized need.

This expandable product can be used where spot welding is needed.

Weld-Thru Sealers are spot welded between two metal pieces. They can be formulated to expand from 20-200% when heat is applied. This expansion can fill the voids between spot welds and form a tight seal to prevent water and dust from penetrating the seams.

An important characteristic of the material is that it is self-extinguishing, assuring that the material will not support a flame.

Weld-thrus also have excellent bridging and sag resistant characteristics, particularly in vertical applications.

Weld-thrus adhere well to oily metal surfaces, and are compatible with all electro-coat systems. In addition, weld-thru sealers protect against corrosion.
